Meet The Team

Dr. Katie Kralik

Dr. Katie Kralik grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from the veterinary school at Iowa State University in 2012, after which she moved out west to be near the mountains and ocean. She and her husband share a small parcel of land in the forest with their 5 dogs and 4 cats, as well as a group of farm animals including goats, pigs, llamas, and a variety of poultry. In their free time, they enjoy traveling, eating good food, and wine tasting. Dr. Kralik loves spending her days helping animals and their people live their best lives together by keeping pets healthy.

Dr. Megan Conrad

Dr Megan Conrad was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2009 with a degree in biology and completed her veterinary degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland in 2014.

Dr Conrad’s primary professional interests are chronic pain management, alternative medicine, physical therapy, and chronic disease management. She is passionate about the human animal bond and the love we have for our animals. She considers this to be one of the most important factors in how she practices medicine.

Dr Conrad and her husband Kris enjoy traveling, kayaking, going to the beach, gardening, cooking, eating local foods and going to the farmers market in their town. In November 2018, Dr Conrad and Kris crossed off an adventure on their bucket list by traveling to Colombia, the Galapagos, and Machu Picchu.

Dr Conrad and Kris are parents to son Flynn and share their home with their cats Wallace and Fiona and dogs Archibald and Beatrice.

Kayla

Veterinary Assistant

Kayla has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2013 working with cats and dogs as well as horses, cows, goats, etc. In her free time, she enjoys food, music, and lounging on the couch with her cat “Bubba.” Her favorite part of Veterinary Medicine is behavioral analysis and understanding what a patient is thinking or feeling.

Miranda

Practice Manager

Miranda was born and raised in Southern California, where she started her animal-focused career working with reptiles and invertebrates. She entered the Veterinary field as a receptionist at a busy clinic in Santa Monica before moving to Oregon in 2018. She was trained as a Veterinary Assistant by Dr. Kralik at Happy Valley Vet Hospital, whom she then joined at Milwaukie Animal Clinic in 2021 as the Practice Manager. When she is not working, Miranda spends time with her dogs (Leia and Beesly,) her cat Yodel, and her geckos (Luna, Princess, Chaos, Lisa Frank, and Jake from State Farm.)

Jaleen

Receptionist

Jaleen started her career in Veterinary health care and wildlife rehab over 30 years ago. She worked as a Veterinary Technician Assistant for 10 years, then pursued a rewarding career in management at IDEXX Laboratories, a Veterinary Diagnostic Lab. She joined our team just over a year ago as a Receptionist.

“I love my position as a receptionist at MAC and look forward to coming to work everyday and being in the clinic again. The team is amazing as we all share a love for our jobs, people, and their pets. Our unified goal is to make the visit to the Doctors’ a positive experience (while providing optimal health care.)”

Jaleen’s hobbies include: cooking, gardening, drawing, painting and sculpting, tropical fish, spending time with her family, including 6 grandchildren and her four dogs: Leeta and Annabelle, twin 9-year old German Shepherds, Sheppie a 4-year old Great Pyrenees, and Peanut, a newly rescued Pitbull mix.

Haley

CVT

Originally from Oahu, Hawaii. Haley graduated from W.C.C. with honors, and shortly after became a Certified Veterinary Technician in the summer of 2023. Haley has a passion for learning and exploring new and expanding areas of veterinary science. Her favorite areas include wildlife, rehabilitation, hospice, and pain management. In her free time, Haley enjoys exploring the outdoors, creating art, gaming, and relaxing with her loved ones. She especially enjoys painting and is experimenting with pet portraits. In 2023 she was featured in an Oahu gallery’s local artist exhibit.
